Friday 5: Dianne Hartsock
Please welcome Dianne Hartsock to the blog today. Thanks for joining us, Dianne!
What kind of books do you read for fun?
At the moment I am happily drowning in m/m erotic romances. My favorite authors keep writing more books! I also like a good fantasy/scifi from C.J. Cherryh and thrillers from Dean Koontz and Robin Cook.
What’s the one thing you can’t live without?
But there are so many things! Coffee and good books, my husband and kids, dark chocolate. Walks on the beach are a must as well.
If a genie granted you three wishes, what would they be?
1. To be financially secure so I don’t have to go to my evil day job.
2. The perfect balance of time between my writing, family, and vacations around the world.
3. Coffee that doesn’t give me the jitters, doesn’t make me fat when I add caramel and cream, and is good for me.
What is best writing advice you can give?
Write something every single day. One of my favorite quotes, I can’t remember who by, says you can always go back and edit bad writing, but you can’t edit a blank page. And never try to copy anyone else’s style, no matter how much you love their work. Your own ‘writer’s voice’ will come to you in time.
Can you share a little about your current release with us?
Stuck on Rewind
Ashton has been in love with his best friend for years, watching him grow from a pretty high school boy to the gorgeous erotic dancer at the club where they both work. The problem is that Lance enjoys the attention of a variety of men while Ashton wants him for his very own.
After a day spent denying his attraction for Lance, standing by while their friend Trey openly flirts with him, Ashton decides it’s time to make his move or risk losing his man forever. Once Lance knows how he feels, he’ll realize they should be together. Or is it already too late?
